Chelsea look set to miss out on number one goalkeeper target Andre Onana, who is on the cusp of a return to Barcelona, reports Sport.
The Blues are looking to bring in a new goalkeeper this summer in a bid to succeed Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has been a costly flop on the back of his world record arrival from Athletic Club.
The Spain international became the most expensive goalkeeper in football following his big money switch to London in 2018, yet has failed to live up to his hefty price tag.
Chelsea had been linked with a move for Burnley's Nick Pope, but had supposedly turned their attention to Ajax shotstopper Onana.
The 24-year-old supposedly bid farewell to the Dutch champions after posting an Instagram message following the cancellation of the Eredivisie season.
"This journey ends with an empty stadium, but full of pride and satisfaction. Thanks for all the love and support," he said.

However, it looks as though Chelsea are expected to miss out on Onana with Barcelona seeking to bring the Cameroonian back to Camp Nou.
The shotstopper left the Blaugrana for Ajax in 2015 and he could yet make the move back to Spain with the Dutch side looking to bring in at least £35m for Onana.
