Impending Chelsea manager open to giving flop another chance
Antonio Conte is open to giving Juan Cuadrado a chance to revive his Chelsea career if he is named Guus Hiddink’s successor at the end of the season, according to The Daily Telegraph.
Cuadrado, 27, is on loan at Juventus and expected to make his switch permanent at the end of the season, although Conte, who wants to be named the next Chelsea manager within the next month, could still give the Colombia international the chance to revive his career at Stamford Bridge.
The former Fiorentina wideman struggled to settle and make any impression on Jose Mourinho during his seven-month stint at Stamford Bridge, making just four starts after joining for £23.3m in February last year.
However, Cuadrado has found game time easier to come by under Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus, where he currently sits as their fourth highest rated player in the league (7.37 rating).
Moreover, of players to have made at least 20 appearances in Serie A this season, none have required fewer minutes per successful dribble than Cuadrado (24.1 mins).
