Liverpool are on the verge of signing Mainz goalkeeper Loris Karius in a 4.7m deal, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Mignolet only signed a new long-term deal at the start of the year but signing a new goalkeeper has always been a top priority for Jurgen Klopp.
As a result Liverpool have been locked in talks with Bundesliga side Mainz over a deal to bring Karius to Anfield in the summer and Klopp is hoping to make the most of his close ties with former club Mainz to get a deal done.
Of goalkeepers to have made more than 30 appearances in the Bundesliga this season, only two have a better save success rate than Karius (73.5%).
