Juventus striker Alvaro Morata has put pen to paper on a new five-year deal keeping him at the club until 2020.
Morata, 23, still had four years left to run on his current deal but there had been speculation linking the former Real Madrid striker away from the club after dropping down the pecking order this season.
However, Juventus have rewarded the Spain international with a further 12 months in a show of faith in the striker.
Madrid have been suggested to be interested in activating the buy-back clause they have on Morata and it is not clear whether this new deal changes that arrangement in any way.
Morata proved integral in Juventus’ run to the Champions League final last season but he has struggled to replicate that form this season, scoring just three goals across league and European competition thus far.
