Sergio Aguero is poised to sign a new contract with Manchester City before the season starts, reports The Daily Mail.
Aguero, 28, still has three years left on his existing deal but City are keen to get the Argentina international to commit his long-term future to ward off interest in the future.
There have been suggestions in the past that Aguero has no intention of renewing beyond 2019 and wants to return to his homeland to finish the rest of his career.
Since August 2012 Aguero has scored the most goals in the Premier League (79).
