Juventus to move for Tottenham target

Tottenham face serious competition in the summer from Juventus for Marseille forward Michy Batshuayi, according to the London Evening Standard.

Batshuayi, 22, has been regularly linked with a move to White Hart Lane since the start of the season and is reportedly one of their summer transfer targets as Mauricio Pochettino plans for life in the Champions League.

West Ham have also expressed an interest in the Belgium international but both will face competition from Juventus, who have entered the race for the frontman.

With Real Madrid expected to activate their buy-back clause on Alvaro Morata in the summer, Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has already begun identifying possible replacements, with Batshuayi heading the list.

Batshuayi has been in sublime form for an underperforming Marseille side that has been in disarray for the majority of the season.

The Belgian frontman has remarkably dropped below Steven Fletcher in the pecking order under Michel in recent weeks and with the Ligue 1 outfit unlikely to be in European competition next season, he is a striker that could be available in the summer.

Batshuayi has already scored twice as many goals this season (14) than he managed in the whole of the last league campaign (7), and he has also added assists to his game this year (9).
