Sebastian Bassong has agreed terms to a fresh two-year deal at Norwich City, the Canaries have announced.
Bassong, 29, was a valuable member of the Norwich squad that gained promotion to the Premier League under Alex Neil last season and has started the new campaign in equally commendable form.
The former Tottenham centre-back scored in the Canaries 3-1 win over Sunderland at the weekend, earning him a place in the WhoScored’s Premier League team of the week and says he is delighted to commit to Norwich until at least the 2016/17 campaign.
“I’m very happy to have signed this contract,” Bassong told the club’s official website. “It’s been an enjoyed time recently, getting promoted and achieving what we wanted to achieve. It provided great satisfaction for all of us.
“I enjoy playing for this team. Bit by bit, it is getting better and I feel better, and the manager has played a big part in that. I owe him a lot because he gave me my chance back in the team.”
