Antoine Griezmann has clarified he will make an announcement on his future at Atletico Madrid in the next 12 days.
The France international has been heavily linked with a move away from Atletico in the last two years but his time at the club finally appears to be coming to an end.
Griezmann opted against joining Manchester United last summer but Barcelona have been relentlessly pursuing the 27-year-old since the turn of the year.
The Spanish champions are expected to trigger Griezmann’s €100m release clause this summer and the Atletico striker has confirmed an announcement will be made before France’s first World Cup group game.
“Yes, it will be done before the competition,” The Daily Mirror quote Griezmann as saying when asked after France’s 3-1 win over Italy on Friday night.
