Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is set to sign improved terms on a new £3.5m-a-year deal in the summer, according to The Daily Mail.
Pochettino, 44, still has three years remaining on the original deal he signed when replacing Tim Sherwood as Tottenham manager at the start of last season, but the north London outfit are understandably trying to reward the Argentine for his impressive work.
Manchester United and Chelsea, who are both likely to have new managers in place before the start of next season, have been linked with a move for the Spurs boss and a new deal would certainly put to bed questions about his future at White Hart Lane.
The former Southampton manager is set for a dramatic increase on his current £2m-a-year deal, although he is in no rush to sign the deal and will wait until the summer to put pen to paper.
Spurs are only five points off leaders Leicester in the league and are the closest they have ever been to winning their maiden Premier League title. Not only have Spurs conceded the fewest goals in England’s top-tier this season (24), but they have also scored the most (53).
