United star’s future dependant on Mourinho

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is more likely to remain at the club if Jose Mourinho replaces Louis van Gaal at the end of the season, reports The Daily Telegraph.

De Gea, 25, came close to joining Real Madrid last summer before a deal broke down at the final hour before signing a long-term deal at United at the start of the season.

United will be without Champions League football for the second time in three years next season and the Spain international could reportedly consider his future at Old Trafford should Van Gaal see out the final year of his contract next season.

Only Petr Cech (15) has kept more clean sheets in the Premier League this season than De Gea (14).
