Leicester are weighing up an improved offer for West Brom defender Jonny Evans after their opening £10m bid was rejected, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Craig Shakespeare’s side have already completed a £17m deal for Harry Maguire from Hull but are still interested in bolstering their defensive options ahead of next season.
West Brom made it clear Evans, who is in line to be made club captain next season after Darren Fletcher's departure, is not for sale at any price this summer, as Tony Pulis looks to avoid losing another leader in the dressing room.
However, Leicester are weighing up another move for the 29-year-old after growing increasingly frustrated with Middlesbrough’s valuation of Ben Gibson.
In the last two Premier League campaigns only Simon Francis (305) and Laurent Koscielny (279) have won possession in the defensive third more times than Evans (267).
