Chelsea and Manchester City target leaves Juventus

Juventus have confirmed that they have agreed to terminate the contract of right-back Dani Alves.

The 34-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea and Manchester City and the experienced Brazilian is now free to discuss a possible switch to the Premier League pair.

“Juventus Football Club is to part company with Dani Alves after agreeing to a termination of the player's contract,” a statement read on the club’s official website.

“Alves lifted two trophies in his single season in Turin, contributing to a third consecutive domestic league and cup double for the club before helping the team reach the UEFA Champions League final.

“The Brazilian made a total of 33 appearances for the Bianconeri, having a hand in 12 goals (six goals, six assists), seven of which came in European matches.”

Alves played a vital role in Juventus’ Serie A win and progression to the Champions League final in Cardiff, where they lost 4-1 to La Liga champions Real Madrid.

Indeed, only Toni Kroos (33) made more key passes than Alves (31) in Europe’s elite club competition last season.
