Maurizio Sarri has told Chelsea executives he wants to leave the club after just one season, claims The Guardian.
Chelsea appointed Sarri as Antonio Conte’s successor last summer but it’s been a turbulent 12 months for the Italian.
Sarri has been on the brink of the sack for most of the season despite guiding Chelsea to two cup finals and a third place finish.
The Italian was disgruntled in the build up to Wednesday’s Europa League final by the idea one game could define his future at the club.
Chelsea smashed Arsenal 4-1 but Sarri has now told the west London outfit he wants to leave and they are unlikely to stand in his way.
Juventus are currently on the market for a new manager and have been heavily linked with a move for the former Napoli boss.
The Europa League is the first piece of silverware Sarri has won as a manager, defeating three-time winner Unai Emery in the process.
