Bayern Munich have announced they will be without Thiago Alcantara for up to a month after the Spaniard returned from international duty with a knee injury.
Thiago, 24, has endured a troublesome time with his knees in the last two years and is now set for another lay-off, Bayern have confirmed.
The former Barcelona midfielder was forced off after just 27 minutes during Spain’s 2-0 win over England and he will now miss Bayern’s final two group games in the Champions League and may not even feature until after the winter break.
Bayern have an immense strength of depth in their midfield ranks, but Thiago’s absence will be notable. In fact, no player has garnered a higher WhoScored rating than the Bayern No.6 (9.07).
