Chelsea have announced they have re-signed David Luiz from Paris Saint-Germain.
Luiz, 29, only left Chelsea to join PSG two years ago in a record breaking £50m deal but Antonio Conte has been desperate to add depth to his defensive options, which has led the Blues back to their former centre-back.
The two clubs have reportedly agreed on a fee in the region of £32m, which means Luiz holds two of the three biggest transfer fees for a defender.
“Chelsea Football Club and Paris Saint-Germain have agreed terms for the transfer of David Luiz back to London,” a statement read on Chelsea’s official website.
“The move is now subject to him agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.”
Since the start of last season no defender has completed more accurate through balls than Luiz across Europe’s big five leagues (11).
