Bilic dismisses Mancini talk

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has rubbished talk suggesting Roberto Mancini could replace him.

The Hammers have made a disastrous start to the season and the pressure is starting to mount on Bilic’s position.

Mancini, who has been out of work since being sacked by Inter before the start of the season, is reportedly being lined up to replace Bilic at West Ham, although the current Hammers boss denies that.

“Last year, when you were asking me about new contracts, I didn’t want to talk about this,” Sky Sports quote Bilic as saying. “I am not worried about that [Roberto Mancini being linked with the job].

“I am delighted to be here and have a job. But I am concentrated on training and preparing the game, analysing the opponent and working with the players, putting the best possible team out and put my whole energy into my team. That is my contract, new or old.”
