Liverpool have entered the race to sign Roma defender Antonio Rudiger, according to Italian news outlet Calciomercatoweb, via Football Italia.
Rudiger, 23, has spent the season on loan at Roma from Stuttgart and the Giallorossi are keen to secure his long-term services at the end of the season.
Luciano Spalletti’s side have a €9m (£7m) buy-out clause in the loan deal to make the switch permanent, however it remains to be seen whether they could be tempted into cashing in on the Germany international immediately, with Liverpool interested.
Of Roma players to have made at least 10 league appearances this season, only Kostas Manolas (4.1) is averaging more clearances per game than Rudiger (3.2).
