Alexis Sanchez is almost certainly going to leave Arsenal at the end of the season after being dropped to the bench during their 3-1 defeat to Liverpool after storming out of training last week, reports The Daily Telegraph.
The Chile international will have 12 months remaining on his current deal with Arsenal and has been stalling on signing a new contract all season as Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain plot a huge summer move.
Sanchez was surprisingly named among the substitutes for Arsenal’s clash with Liverpool on Saturday before being brought on at half-time to try and rescue the game for Arsene Wenger’s side.
However, it has now been revealed the reason why Wenger opted to drop Sanchez was not because he wanted to go more direct but because their talismanic No.7 stormed out of training in midweek before engaging in an angry war of words with teammates in the changing rooms.
Sanchez required just 12 minutes to help Arsenal get back into the match after he provided an assist for Danny Welbeck’s goal just before the hour mark. It means the 28-year-old has now played a direct hand in more goals than any other player in the Premier League this season (26).
