Fenerbahce striker Robin van Perise has hit out at manager Vitor Pereira’s decision to start him from the bench in the wake of their 2-1 victory over Bursaspor on Sunday.
Van Persie, 31, came off the bench to score the winner with 10 minutes remaining and the former Manchester United striker was not afraid to voice his opinions after the match.
“To be honest, I am not very happy at this moment,” Van Persie told Lig TV.
“I was not happy that I started on the bench. I am fully fit, physically very well and able to play for 90 minutes.
“The only right answer I could give was with what I did: helping the team to get the victory.”
The Netherlands international has scored had a direct hand in three goals (two goals + one assist) for Fenerbahce since making the switch over the summer, a feat only Nani can better for the Yellow Canaries (5).
