Aston Villa could be set to make a shock move for Real Madrid outcast Jese Rodriguez, according to Spanish newspaper AS.
Jese, 22, has been linked with a raft of clubs in the last week after his agent revealed he could leave the Bernabéu in search of regular first-team football.
The Spanish forward has found first-team opportunities limited since breaking through the academy into the first-team three years ago.
Injuries stifled his development and he has also found it difficult finding a position in the starting XI with Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale above him the pecking order.
Only two sides have scored fewer goals than Villa in the Premier League this season (8), but it remains to be seen whether Jese can be the regular contributor they need.
In fact, Jese has only scored eight goals in 38 appearances for Madrid in the league.
