Manchester United pushing to complete £30m deal for Spain U21 international
Manchester United are keen to push ahead with a £30m deal to sign Valencia starlet Carlos Soler for next season, reports The Daily Mail.
Soler, 20, has a £75m buy-out clause but it’s understood that Valencia would be extremely unlikely to command that fee due to their financial problems.
The Spain U21 international has established himself as a regular for Valencia under Marcelino this season and he has contributed to Los Che’s stunning start to the campaign.
Jose Mourinho believes Soler would work perfectly in tandem with Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic in United’s midfield and hopes the club can wrap up his signature before their European rivals.
Soler has played a direct hand in five goals in nine league appearances from midfield this season (one goal, four assists), which is already more than he managed in 23 appearances across the whole of last season (4).
