Real Betis bid €7m for West Ham target

Real Betis have moved to beat West Ham to the signing of Ryad Boudebouz after offering €7m (£6.3m) for the Montpellier ace, reports France Football.

Boudebouz has been an outstanding servant for Montpellier since joining from Bastia in 2015 and the 27-year-old now has a host of admirers across Europe.

West Ham have been regularly linked with a move for the Algeria international since selling Dimitri Payet to Marseille at the start of the year, but Betis are looking to beat their European counterparts.

The Spanish side have been very active in the transfer market this summer and are now looking to wrap up another high profile signing, although Montpellier are reportedly holding out for up to €10m (£9m).

Boudebouz created more chances than any other Ligue 1 player (149), while only Allan Saint-Maximin (204) and Florian Thauvin (173) attempted more dribbles than the Montpellier No.10 (149).
