AC Milan's shock £10m deal for Wigan starlet collapses

A deal that would have seen Wigan pocket £10m for Antonee Robinson moving to Serie A giants AC Milan has collapsed, reports The Sun.

Robinson travelled to Italy to undergo a medical with Milan on Friday and complete a dream move to one of Europe's most decorated clubs but is now returning to Wigan.

It is understood a disagreement over the structure of the deal is behind the collapse and Milan have responded by recalling Diego Laxalt from his loan spell at Torino.

Milan moved for Robinson in a shock deal after offloading Ricardo Rodriguez to PSV earlier this month.

Wigan only signed Robinson from Everton for £2m in the summer and stood to make a huge profit on the 22-year-old.

Robinson has completed more dribbles than any other defender in the Championship this season (56), whilst averaging 2.3 tackles per game. He is also Wigan's best WhoScored rated player in the division this term (6.98).
