No Chelsea deal forthcoming says Real Madrid target

Chelsea star Eden Hazard has revealed there are no talks about a new contract at Stamford Bridge but he is happy at the club and focused on securing an FA Cup and Premier League double.

Hazard, 26, has re-emerged as a top transfer target for Madrid this season having previously been linked with a move to the reigning European champions two years ago.

The Belgium international has returned to the peak of his powers this season with Chelsea in the FA Cup final and four points clear at the top of the Premier League with six games remaining.

Madrid are expected to firm up their interest in Hazard at the end of the season and they have perhaps been given some encouragement off the back of the Belgian’s latest comments.

“There is no sign of a new contract for the moment,” Hazard told Sky Sports. “I am focused on the last month, and we will talk later. “It’s not in my mind now. I have two or three years left. I just want to finish the season well and we will see afterwards.”

Hazard missed out on the PFA Player of the Year award to Chelsea teammate N’Golo Kante in Monday’s award ceremony but he is the highest rated player in the Premier League according to WhoScored (7.86).

The Madrid target was controversially left on the bench for their FA Cup semi-final triumph against Tottenham on Saturday but provided the impact Antonio Conte’s side needed to put Chelsea ahead before assisting Nemanja Matic’s screamer in their 4-2 win.
