Lewandowski’s agent confirms Bayern Munich exit plan
The agent of Robert Lewandowski has confirmed his client has told Bayern Munich he wants to leave this summer.
Lewandowski has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bundesliga giants all season.
Real Madrid and Chelsea are the frontrunners for his signature and the Poland international has now put suitors on red alert.
“Robert feels he needs a change and a new challenge in his career. The managers of Bayern know about it,” Pini Zahavi told Sport Bild, via Sky Sports.
The 29-year-old’s current deal is not due to expire until 2021 and Bayern will demand a substantial fee to part ways with their star striker.
Lewandowski is one of Europe’s most consistent goalscorers and will not be short of suitors if Bayern are prepared to sell.
Despite only starting 24 league games this season, Lewandowski scored at least 14 more goals than any other player in the Bundesliga (29).
With a summer exit now on the cards, it's worth considering Lewandowski for your Football INDEX portfolios. His share price is £3.79 and on the rise!
