Everton plot deadline day deal for Chelsea outcast

Everton want to sign Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea but Premier League rules dictate it will have to be a permanent signing, claims The Daily Mail.

Batshuayi is currently on a season-long loan deal at Valencia but his future is up in the air as the Spanish side have wanted to terminate his stay all season.

The Belgium international agreed personal terms with Monaco over another loan deal at the start of the window but Chelsea blocked the transfer.

Maurizio Sarri’s side are keen to offload Batshuayi on a permanent basis and now Everton have emerged as his most likely destination on deadline day.

Everton have already loaned Kurt Zouma from Chelsea this season and Premier League rules state you cannot sign two players on loan from another Premier League side at one time.

Batshuayi has endured a nightmare loan spell at Valencia so far this season and hasn’t started a league game for Los Che since the end of October.

The 25-year-old has only scored one goal in 15 league appearances for Valencia this term, managing 17 shots in the process.
