West Brom bid for Leicester winger

West Brom are set to make an improved bid for Leicester City winger Jeffrey Schlupp, according to The Daily Mirror.

Tony Pulis is keen to strengthen his squad this summer and the Baggies have already had a £9m bid rejected for the pacey wideman.

Schlupp, 22, who can pay at left-back and left wing, struggled to establish himself as a first team regular under Claudio Ranieri and the West Brom manager is hopeful the lure of regular first-team football will sway Schlupp to the Hawthorns.

The Ghana international only started 14 league games last season but was effective whenever he was called upon. He averaged a successful dribble every 33.7 minutes, a successful tackle every 30.1 minutes and played a direct hand in three goals (one goals, two assists).
