Leeds star delivers transfer blow

Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips has delivered a blow to any interested Premier League parties and declared his intention to remain at Elland Road.

The 24-year-old is hoping to land an England spot before too long and his good form in the Championship has led to calls that he should be given a look in by Gareth Southgate.

And his excellent showings in the middle of the park for Leeds has seen a host of Premier League sides show an interest in Phillips.

Tottenham, Manchester United, Sheffield United and Wolves are among those courting Phillips, who could have moved to Aston Villa last summer, only for the Villans to see a £25m move rejected for the Leeds star.

And amid claims that Jose Mourinho has made Phillips one of his primary targets in the summer, the England hopeful has given Leeds a boost by distancing himself from reports of a move away from the club.

"I want to spend my career at Leeds and see the club doing well in the Premier League," Phillips told FourFourTwo via TEAMtalk.

"I’m just enjoying every minute right now."
