Spanish newspaper AS has reported that Barcelona B winger Adama Traore is closing in on a transfer to Aston Villa.
The youngster is believed to be travelling to Birmingham to tie up a deal before Villa's game against Manchester United on Friday night.
The 19-year old has been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Stoke this summer but the latter's deal for Xherdan Shaqiri has paved the way for Villa to steal a march on their competition.
Adama has shone at La Masia academy but Barcelona are willing to let him leave the club, with a potential buy-back clause perhaps part of any deal to take the Spanish youth international to England.
Tim Sherwood is hoping to make the youngster his 10th signing of the summer, with a three-year deal mooted for a player that made his senior league and Champions League debuts in 2013/14 but featured just twice in the Copa del Rey last season.
