Real Madrid target set for new deal

Juventus are set to offer striker Alvaro Morata an improved contract in an attempt to reduce the chances of the Spaniard re-signing for Real Madrid, according to AS.

Morata, 22, has been heavily linked with a return to the Santiago Bernabéu just 12 months after leaving for Juventus and Madrid are suggested to be mulling over the €30m (£22.2m) buy-back clause currently active in his contract.

However, the Serie A champions are hopeful of convincing the Spaniard to committing to club long-term with plans to over the striker an improved deal until 2021.

Morata has been particularly prolific in Europe since making the move and was the scorer of two of the three goals that knocked Madrid out of the last four last of the Champions League last season.
