Real Madrid set to finally sign PSG forward

Real Madrid look set to finally complete the signing of PSG forward Kylian Mbappe, reports French publication Foot Mercato.

Mbappe is a long-term target for the Spanish powerhouse, who have been keen on the France international for some time now.

However, PSG have continuously rebuffed Real Madrid's efforts to sign the French striker and have ultimately convinced Mbappe to extend his stay in Paris by an extra year for the last two summers.

His time in Paris may be coming to an end at the end of the season, though, with reports suggesting that Mbappe has agreed to make the move to the Bernabeu when his contract ends.

The 25-year-old has been spearheading PSG's push for domestic glory having scored more goals (18) than any other player in Ligue 1 this season.

Mbappe is also the division's highest rated player having returned a WhoScored rating of 7.98, that ranking third in Europe's top five leagues.

Real Madrid currently top La Liga with 48 points at the midway point of the season and are eager to bring in Mbappe as their next marquee addition to the side.
