Marek Hamsik is on the verge of agreeing a new four-year deal with Napoli, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, via Football Italia.
The Slovakia international was linked with a move away from the Serie A giants following his performances at Euro 2016 but the Napoli midfielder is keen to extend his stay.
Hamsik, 29, has two years remaining on his existing deal and his representatives have already met with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis to discuss a new long-term deal.
Since the start of the 2011/12 campaign Hamsik has created more chances than any other player in Serie A (380).
