Pochettino keen to bring Man Utd midfielder to Paris

Newly appointed PSG head coach Mauricio Pochettino is keen to sign Manchester United wantaway midfielder Paul Pogba this month, reports The Daily Star on Sunday.

The 27-year-old is desperate to leave United and they are ready to cash in on the France international at the end of the season.

PSG could look to test United's resolve in the January window to bring Pogba back to France.

Real Madrid and Juventus were the supposed frontrunners for the 2018 World Cup winners, but PSG's rumoured interest in Pogba threatens to derail their pursuit of the United star.

Pochettino is looking to bring Pogba to the Parc des Princes as he seeks to build his midfield around the Frenchman.

United paid a then-world record £83m to re-sign Pogba from Juventus in 2016 and the Premier League side would be looking to recoup most of that if they are to sell.

Pogba hasn't been a first team regular under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season, making just nine league starts in 2020/21, and is expected to miss the midweek trip to Burnley through injury.
