Kepa has nine games to save Chelsea career

Kepa has just nine league matches to save his Chelsea career, reports The Sunday Express. 

The Spaniard joined the Blues from Athletic Club in 2018 world a world record fee for a goalkeeper to replace Thibaut Courtois. 

However, Kepa has flattered to decive on the back of his arrival in west London with his WhoScored rating (6.42) among the worst of all Premier League goalkeepers this season. 

Blues boss Frank Lampard is prepared to give Kepa one final nine-match audition to save his Chelsea career, with the club linked with a host of possible replacements for the Spain international. 

Lampard axed Kepa for Willy Caballero earlier this season on the back of a sub-par display against Arsenal back in January and only reclaimed his number one spot for the 4-0 win over Everton prior to the postponement of all football. 

Question marks remain over his future at the club, with Lampard plotting a summer overhaul to turn Chelsea into title contenders. 

Indeed, Hakim Ziyech will be joining from Ajax next month, while the Blues are closing in on the signing of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.
