Crystal Palace manager Frank de Boer is set to make his signing since his appointment as Palace boss with the capture of Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea, reports the Daily Telegraph.
The Eagles are one of two Premier League teams yet to making a signing this summer, yet that looks set to change with Loftus-Cheek expected to secure a season-long loan move to Selhurst Park.
Newcastle, Southampton and Brighton had also shown an interest in the 21-year-old, who made only six top-flight appearances - all as a sub - last season.
However, Palace are expected to wrap up his signing shortly, with De Boer keen on bringing the midfielder to the south London side.
It’s thought that Loftus-Cheek’s arrival will kick start Palace’s recruitment drive this summer, with the Eagles also linked with moves for Robin van Persie and Joel Veltman.
It remains to be seen how Loftus-Cheek's departure will impact Chelsea's summer movements, however, with the Blues hoping to wrap up the signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko.
