Chelsea and Manchester City are said to be monitoring Sergio Busquets' contract situation, reports Spanish outlet Marca.
The Spaniard's current deal expires in 2019, but is hopeful of signing an extension at Camp Nou having established himself as one of the club's key players.
Busquets, 27, has supposedly requested a meeting with the club's hierarchy in order to extend his stay in Barcelona.
However, Chelsea and City will keep tabs on any possible situation should Busquets become unsettled with a lack of progress over a new deal.
The pair aren't the only teams said to be targeting the midfielder, with PSG supposedly interested in the Spain star.
