Premier League pair to battle over Barcelona striker

Swansea City are prepared to battle it out with Tottenham for out-of-favour Barcelona striker Sandro Ramirez, reports the Daily Mail.

The young frontman is expected to depart Camp Nou this month having fallen down the pecking order for the Blaugrana.

Real Betis were interested in a loan move for Sandro, though Barcelona are keen to sell the 20-year-old permanently before the transfer window closes.

Spurs seemingly lead to race to secure his services, but could face competition from Swansea, who have earmarked the youngster as the striker to fire them away from the relegation zone.

However, a hold up in any deal is Barcelona's insistence on inserting a buy-back clause in the striker's contract, with the La Liga side yet to give up all hope of Sandro making it as a top class frontman.

Sandro has struggled for regular action for Barcelona, registering just 722 minutes of league and Champions League action since the start of last season.
