Arsenal are interested in handing David Luiz a way out of Chelsea and are willing to bid £25m for the defender next month, claims The Sun.
Luiz has fallen out of favour under Antonio Conte since questioning the Chelsea manager’s tactics after their 3-0 defeat to Roma back in October.
The 30-year-old, who is currently sidelined with a knee injury, has only featured in one of Chelsea’s subsequent 10 matches after being demoted by Conte.
Andreas Christensen has flourished in Luiz’s absence and his performances have been so impressive that Conte is even willing to sell Luiz next month.
Juventus and Manchester United have already been linked with a January move for the Brazilian, but now face stiff competition from Arsenal.
Chelsea only re-signed Luiz from Paris Saint-Germain over 12 months ago and the charismatic centre-back played an integral part in their title-winning campaign last term.
However, Luiz has struggled to rediscover last season’s imperious form and now looks destined to leave in January if he can recover from injury in time to prove his fitness to potential suitors.
Chelsea’s results have generally been the same when Luiz has started compared to when he hasn't, but they have been harder to break down at the back without the Brazil international.
The defending Premier League champions concede 1.13 goals per league game with Luiz in the starting XI this season compared to just 0.5 when he hasn’t featured from the off.
Speculation about Luiz’s future will only continue to intensify until his future is resolved next month and for this reason it’s important you act now on Football INDEX and buy shares in the defender. His share price is already on the rise and it’s time to get ahead of the curve to maximise your potential earning power.
