Ronaldinho leaves Fluminense after three months

Former World Player of the Year Ronaldinho has left Brazilian side Fluminense after just three months at the club.

Ronaldinho, 35, put pen to paper on a one-and-a-half year deal with the club in July but Fluminense have terminated his contract at his request after making just eight appearances.

Fluminense hereby announces the breaking of their contract with Ronaldinho Gaucho in an amicable form and in mutual agreement between both parties,” a statement read on their official website.

“Since the first contract with directors, the athlete, and his representative treated the club with professionalism and respect.

“Fluminense and Ronaldinho will proceed with ties maintained and plans to work on other projects in the future.”
