Everton youngster makes shock loan move to RB Leipzig
RB Leipzig have announced the shock arrival of Everton starlet Ademola Lookman on loan for the remainder of the season.
Everton manager Sam Allardyce only ruled out Lookman’s departure a few days ago but the German giants have managed to secure the services of the highly rated forward.
Lookman became League One’s most expensive ever player when Everton paid Charlton £11m in January 2017 but he has struggled for game time for the Toffees since then.
Everton invested heavily in advanced areas during the summer and further bolstered their options by landing Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun earlier this month, moving Lookman further down the pecking order.
Lookman will hope to enjoy greater success at Leipzig compared to Scotland international Oliver Burke, who struggled to make an impact at the club following a shock £13m transfer in August 2016.
The 20-year-old only started five league matches during his sole season at the club before returning to England and joining West Brom for £15m.
