Pogba rejects massive Man Utd contract offer

Paul Pogba has turned down wages of £350,000-a-week to pledge his long-term future with Manchester United, claims The Daily Mirror.

Pogba has entered the final 12 months of his current United contract and has been heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

The France international will report for pre-season training with United at the end of the month but now looks destined to leave the club for the second time in his career.

United made Pogba a club-record transfer to re-sign him from Juventus in a £89m deal in 2016 but now hope to command £50m for his services.

Neither Barcelona nor Real Madrid are in the running to sign Pogba this summer and the 28-year-old is now open to joining PSG.

Pogba watched an Inter Miami game with PSG centre-back Presnel Kimpembe earlier this week and his agent, Mino Raiola, is reportedly sorting personal terms with the French club.

United must have known it was coming as they have been heavily linked with a number of midfielders this summer already, including Bayern Munich's Leon Goretzka.

Pogba was the star of France's Euro 2020 campaign and appeared the front runner for the best player of the tournament award until their shock, premature exit to Switzerland in the round of 16.

Pogba recorded seven key passes in total but four of those were for Kylian Mbappe and their link-up would have certainly appealled to Mauricio Pochettino at PSG.
