Bayern Munich confirm Sane arrival from Manchester City
Bayern Munich have signed Leroy Sane from Manchester City on a five-year deal running until the summer of 2025, the Bundesliga champions have this morning confirmed.
Hansi Flick's side have agreed to pay City an initial fee of £44.7m that could rise to as much as £54.8m through performance related add-ons.
Bayern have been pursuing Sane for the past 12 months and have finally managed to prise the German international away from City for a cut-price fee.
Sane had entered the final 12 months of his existing City deal and made it clear he didn't want to renew with last season's Premier League winners.
City have reluctantly cashed in on Sane now rather than lose the 2017/18 PFA Young Player of the Year on a free transfer next summer.
Sane has been angling for a move away from City since the end of the 2018/19 campaign after dropping down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola.

Despite struggling for regular playing time that season, Sane still managed to register double figures for goals and assists for the second Premier League campaign running.
Sane recovered from a serious knee injury sustained in August at the start of the year before the Premier League was suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
However, the 24-year-old was limited to just 11 minutes of playing time in one substitute appearance in 'Project Restart', with his future away from the club.
Bayern have desperately been on the look out for new wingers since the departure of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery at the end of last season.
After missing out on both Sane and Callum Hudson-Odoi, Bayern eventually signed Ivan Perisic and Philippe Coutinho on loan.
However, the Bundesliga champions have now landed Sane in a major boost ahead of next season.
