City join race for Chelsea ace

Manchester City are prepared to enter the race to sign Chelsea star Eden Hazard, according to The Sun.

Hazard has been strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, with Real Madrid supposedly frontrunners to secure the Belgian's signature, while PSG are also keen on the 25-year-old.

However, they could face competition from City, who would love nothing more than to sign one of their rival's key players.

The same paper, though, suggests that the Citizens will only look to sign Hazard if they fail to land primary target Lionel Messi in the summer.

With Pep Guardiola expected to take over at the Etihad Stadium once his Bayern Munich contract expires at the end of the season, City believe his appointment could lure Messi away from Barcelona.
