Valencia turn to AC Milan for Negredo replacement

Valencia are ready to hand Carlos Bacca a way back to Spain as they look to replace Besiktas-bound Alvaro Negredo, reports Superdeporte, via Football Italia.

The Turkish giants announced the arrival of Negredo on Wednesday night to pave the way for Valencia to move for out of favour Milan striker Bacca.

Bacca has not trained with the Milan first team for the past two days and hasn’t been included in Vincenzo Montella’s squad for the upcoming UEFA season.

Milan have already signed Porto striker Andre Silva and are attempting to land Chelsea outcast Diego Costa, all but confirming Bacca has no future at the club.

Marseille were favourites to sign the Colombia international but were only interested in striking a loan deal with an option to buy the 30-year-old for €20m (£18.1m).

Bacca has spent the last two years at Milan after joining from Sevilla in 2015 and now Valencia hope to coax him back to Spain. In that time, Bacca is the only Milan player that has reached double figures for Serie A goals (31).
