Southampton have confirmed they have sold Sadio Mane to Liverpool for a club record fee believed to be in the region of £34m.
Mane, 21, has been a revelation in the Premier League since joining from Red Bull Salzburg in 2014 and was heavily linked with a move away throughout last season.
The Senegal international was closely mooted with a move to Manchester United in January but Liverpool have won the race to sign the forward on five-year deal, making him their second most expensive player of all-time.
Since August 2014 no Southampton player has been named the WhoScored Man of the Match more times than Mane (8).
