Nice forward Hatem Ben Arfa has denied he is in Barcelona discussing a summer move.
Ben Arfa, 29, is out of contract at the end of the season and is widely expected to leave Nice following a breathtaking campaign in Ligue 1.
Reports had emerged over the weekend suggesting Nice’s star man had flown to Barcelona to discuss terms for a Bosman transfer, but the France international has rejected those claims in an interview with the club’s official website.
“I’m not travelling abroad, contrary to what I read. I’m Nice,” Ben Arfa told Nice’s official website.
“I am only focused on making the travel to Guingamp like all my teammates. I’m 100% focused on my goals with OGC Nice.”
Ben Arfa has been in blistering form this season and has reinvigorated his career on the south coast of France. The former Newcastle and Hull flop has played a direct hand in 23 league goals this season (17 goals, five assists) and has completed more dribbles than any other player in Ligue 1 (142).
