Borussia Dortmund earmark Sancho replacement

Borussia Dortmund have earmarked Club Brugge winger Emmanuel Dennis as a potential replacement for Jadon Sancho, claims Belgian outlet Hln.

Sancho is widely expected to leave Dortmund in the summer following the conclusion of his third season with the Bundesliga outfit.

The England international has developed into one of the best young players in Europe over the last 18 months and has been heavily linked with a £100m move back to the Premier League.

Manchester United and Chelsea are leading the chase for Sancho but former club Manchester City have not completely ruled themselves out of the running, particularly with Leroy Sane expected to leave.

Dortmund accept they will struggle to hold on to Sancho beyond this season and are already looking at potential replacements, with Dennis among those being conisdered.

The 22-year-old has previously been linked with moves to the likes of Newcastle and Watford but Dortmund's interest could trump them all.

Dennis and Sancho coincidentally met during a recent trip to Dubai during the winter break and discussed life at Dortmund.
