Chelsea have switched their attentions from signing Real Madrid outcast Alvaro Morata to Everton striker Romelu Lukaku and Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Antonio Conte wanted to reunite with Morata at Stamford Bridge last summer only to see the Spaniard re-join Madrid, however the versatile striker is expected to leave the La Liga giants again this summer after failing to establish himself as a first team regular.
Chelsea were planning to rekindle their interest in the 24-year-old this summer but have now moved their focus on landing Premier League duo Lukaku and Sanchez following a dramatic change in their situations at their respective clubs this year.
Lukaku has revealed he has no intention of renewing his contract with Everton to put his former club on red alert, while Sanchez will only have 12 months to run on his existing deal with Arsenal and revealed during the international break that he wants to stay in London, leaving Chelsea in pole position for his signature.
Morata has made more league appearances from the bench this season (10) than he has made starts (9), while no player has scored more goals in La Liga as a substitute than the Madrid frontman (4).
