Liverpool outcast has no future at the club

Mamadou Sakho won’t have any future at Liverpool beyond the end of the season despite his good performances on loan at Crystal Palace, reports Sky Sports.

The 27-year-old joined Palace on loan until the remainder of the season in January and has been integral in their bid to steer clear of the bottom three but Sam Allardyce’s side do not have an option to make the switch permanent.

Palace will face competition from the likes of Southampton to sign the powerful defender but his good form hasn’t been good enough to convince Jurgen Klopp he is worth the risk reintegrating back into his own first-team plans.

Sakho fell out of favour with the Liverpool manager due to his poor attitude after wrongly falling a drugs test and Klopp isn’t prepared to go back on his stance despite the fact the former France international would arguably be a useful squad player.

Liverpool will instead look to trigger a bidding war between interested clubs and hope to fetch in the region of £30m for his services. Palace have a 71.4% win ratio in the Premier League this season with Sakho in the starting XI compared to a 20% success rate when he hasn’t started.
