Chelsea will approach Mauricio Pochettino to take over the Stamford Bridge reins at the end of the season, reports the Sunday Times.
Antonio Conte had been widely expected to take charge of the defending Premier League champions in the summer upon the culmination of Euro 2016.
However, the Blues may make one final offer for Pochettino before confirming Conte's signature in the coming days.
Pochettino has impressed since taking over at White Hart Lane in 2014, with his Spurs side curently second in the Premier League table.
The north London outfit would be understandably keen to retain Pochettino's services, with the former defender not yet two years into his five-year deal at the club.
A 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Saturday saw Tottenham lose ground in the title race, with Leicester now five points clear at the summit following their 1-0 win at Watford.
